Pre Tender Questionnaire
Stone Builders has developed a Pre Tender Questionnaire to help our Extension and Renovation customers to understand the Scope of Works they require. This helps the customer to understand what options are available . The Questionnaire covers all parts of an Extension from the foundation to finishes.

Are you a South Dublin based company? What areas do you cover?
We generally work in within 10 Kilometers radius from our main builders provider (Blackrock Builders Providers) and Sandyford Industrial Estate.

Do you have insurance?
We are covered by Public Liability, Employer Liability and Contractors All Risks.
Certificate of Compliance on Completion
We work closely with Structural Engineers and they certify all our projects. Certificates of Compliance on Completion are available for all our Extensions and Renovation projects.
Builders work in connection
Stone Builders is offering “ Builders Work’s in Connection” services. We are using certified plumbers, gas installers, and electricians. We can also offer a Certificate of Compliance on Completion signed by a structural engineer.
The term ‘builder’s work in connection’ (BWIC) refers to the builder’s work that is necessary as a result of other works, typically plumbing, gas, and electrical services.
For example: Installation of a new kitchen with an island or open plan with the installation of structural steel. A third-party might supply the kitchen and we can supply all the other services required for your project such as plumbing, gas, electrics,plastering, tiling, flooring, painting, windows installation, Velux installation.
- Cutting, forming or drilling through walls, floors or ceilings to allow services to pass.
- Ensuring structural integrity is not compromised.
- Structural steel installation.
- Chasing block and brickwork for conduits or pipes.
- Lifting and replacing floors.
- Constructing plinths.
- Making good plaster and other finishes.
House Adaption Grant
Yes, we price for this projects.
SEAI Grants
All applicable areas of works are to SEAI standards to apply for the relevant grants. All our subcontractors are registered with SEAI.
PC Sum (Prime Cost Sum)
A prime cost sum (PC or PC sum) is an allowance for the supply of work or materials to be provided by a contractor or supplier that will be nominated by the client (that is, a supplier that is selected by the client to carry out an element of the works and imposed on the main contractor after the main contractor has been appointed).
